identify the types of materials to be used on drawings in all areas. Note any variations in styles, patterns or color tones.
calculate the total surface area of each siding type by measuring lengths and heights. make sure to include windows + doors and deduct
typically you will add a percentage called waste for cuts, errors, etc. this is a number that is different per contractor but we like to recommend a 10-15% number.
do not forget to include items such as corner trims, soffits, facia and any other components that are part of your siding systems. These all should be included in you take-off.
